The Phillies’ offense has, at least for now, found a new leadoff hitter in Bryson Stott. Prior to the series against the Mets, the move of Stott to the top spot coincided with the team hitting quite well against the Giants and Marlins. Sometimes, you never know what will help the team do better as a unit at the plate.
Stott himself has had a nice season so far. Through Wednesday’s game, he had a line of .298/.362/.440 in 94 plate appearances, with four doubles, a triple, two home runs and 13 RBI. He’s also chipped in four stolen bases without being caught.
