According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, Bryce Harper had some choice words for Rob Manfred last week when the commissioner visited the Phillies’ clubhouse. Hannah Keyser of The Bandwagon Substack reported a week ago that things got heated in the meeting.
Passan provided more details on Monday, reporting sources told him Harper cussed out the commissioner when the topic of the sports’ economics was brought up. Passan reports the words “salary cap” were not said. But Harper took a strong stance anyway.
Per Passan, Harper told the commissioner, “If you want to speak about that, you can get the f— out of our clubhouse.
