The Philadelphia Phillies' Kyle Schwarber and Trea Turner are two of the National League's nominees for the 2025 Hank Aaron Award. One recipient from the American League and one recipient from the NL will receive the award.
According to an MLB.com post authored by Theo DeRosa and Shanti Sepe-Chepuru, the recipients of the Hank Aaron Award are the players who were the best offensive players in each league during the respective season. DeRosa and Sepe-Chepuru write that 1999, the first year the award was recognized marked the 25th anniversary of Aaron breaking Babe Ruth's all-time career home run record.
