The Phillies prior to Wednesday won all three of Aaron Nola’s starts since he was activated off the injured list on Aug. 17. He gave up six, two and four earned runs in those starts. The offense was the story on all three days.
Nola wasn’t as fortunate in his fourth start. He allowed five runs in the first inning in a 6-3 loss over the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field. He allowed one more run in the fourth on a two-run double by Brice Turang on a ball that probably should have been caught in left field by Weston Wilson.
