PHILADELPHIA -- If this is anywhere close to the Jake Arrieta the Phillies will see every five days this season, the summer could be fun.
Arrieta dominated the Pirates Thursday night at Citizens Bank Park. He allowed one hit and two walks in seven scoreless innings. He struck out 10. It is the first time Arrieta pitched seven or more scoreless innings with one or fewer hits and 10 or more strikeouts since he threw a no-hitter against the Dodgers on Aug. 30, 2015.
Arrieta's 10 strikeouts are his most in a game since he struck out 10 Brewers on April 9, 2017.
