It is still very early in the season, but with Memorial Day drawing nearer, it’s starting to look like the contenders are making themselves known in the National League. The East has three teams that are contending for a division (it’s foolish to count out the Braves yet), the Central, well, they have one good team and the West is surprisingly competitive. It’s likely that all roads lead through Los Angeles if someone wants to claim the league pennant, but even the Dodgers are down bad in their rotation with several starters looking somewhat beat up.
Which brings us to our question of the day: with all the injuries and attrition happening around the league, can we consider the Phillies to be legitimate World Series contenders?
