As the Philadelphia Phillies enter the final days of the regular season, they’ll be getting reinforcements to strengthen the lineup.
Alec Bohm (left shoulder inflammation) has been activated off the 10-day injured list. To make room for Bohm on the 26-man roster, Rafael Lantigua has been optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The Phillies also announced on Friday that outfielder Brewer Hicklen, designated for assignment on Sept. 16, has cleared waivers and been outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
The third baseman has been sidelined with shoulder inflammation since Sept. 8. Bohm will rejoin a Phillies squad that has won eight of their last 10 games and is on track to clinch a bye to the National League Division Series.
