Aaron Nola shelled as Phillies lose another ugly game in Arizona

FINAL: Diamondbacks 12, Phillies 3

The Phillies have had a troubled recent history in Arizona, and their struggles continued on Tuesday night. After an ugly loss on Monday at Chase Field, the Phillies were flat once again in the second game of the three-game set.

Leading the disheartening performance on Tuesday was starting pitcher Aaron Nola. The right-hander allowed eight runs and 10 hits in only four innings as the Diamondbacks cruised to a 12-3 victory.

Nola, who tossed a complete-game shutout in his last start, gave up five runs in the second inning.
