Free agent J.T. Realmuto is one of the players that Philadelphia Phillies fans have associated with the current core since he was acquired from the Miami Marlins in 2019. He showed how much he wanted to remain with the Phillies when he signed a five-year contract ahead of the 2021 season, when he was last a free agent.

The Phillies and Realmuto both hope a contract agreement can be worked out to keep him in Philadelphia for the next few years.
