Catcher Logan O’Hoppe and LHP Erik Miller will be the two representatives for the Philadelphia Phillies at the 2022 MLB Futures Game.
A 23rd round pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, O’Hoppe is slashing .269/.381/.524 with 14 home runs, 39 RBIs, 30 walks and a .905 OPS for Double-A Reading in 2022.
Because J.T. Realmuto is signed through the 2025 season, there’s been some speculation that the Phillies could use O’Hoppe, 22, as a trade candidate. But while Realmuto is due $47.75 million between the 2024 and 2025 seasons, he’ll also be 33 and 34 in those respective campaigns.
