Three Takeaways from Philadelphia Flyers shootout win vs Rangers

Losing 4-3 in their last contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Philadelphia Flyers were hoping to avoid their sixth losing streak of the year going up against the New York Rangers.

Michal Neuvirth received the start in-net from Interim Head Coach Scott Gordon and opposed Henrik Lundqvist for the Rangers. Lundqvist had a 10-9-5 record coming in, with a 2.87 Goals Against Average and a .914 save percentage. The Flyers had to try and exploit New York’s recent defensive woes and get as many shots on Lundqvist as possible for the best opportunity at victory.
