The Philadelphia Flyers kept their winning ways intact on Saturday night as they took care of the New York Islanders 4-3 thanks to Kevin Hayes’ overtime tally to make it four straight victories. Joel Farabee produced his second hat trick in the win as he lasered a few dishes from James van Riemsdyk (three assists) past Ilya Sorokin to hand the Orange and Black their fourth win in their last five meetings with New York.
The Flyers’ forecheck was effective in the first 40 minutes as two of Farabee’s markers came off plays JVR made to gain possession of the puck in the offensive zone before the second-year forward benefitted with goals.
