I think it’s safe to say that Philadelphia Flyers fans have already experienced a typical season from the team in just five games to start the campaign. We’ve seen the good in Philadelphia beginning the year 2-0-0 for the first time since 2011-12, the bad in their poor effort against the Calgary Flames, and the flat out ugly against the Edmonton Oilers (let’s not get into that). They’ve also been on the wrong side of a blowout, lost in a shootout, and have had a former player score on them just to round everything out.
The Flyers currently possess a 2-2-1 record with five points, ranking sixth in the Metropolitan Division, 13th in the Eastern Conference, and tied for 23rd with the Arizona Coyotes in the entire league at the time this was written.
