Slap Shots: Flyers vs. Jets

The Philadelphia Flyers were back at the Wells Fargo Center looking to keep pace in the Metropolitan Division.

They spent the majority of the first period in their own zone, but Carter Hart and the defense stood strong, keeping the Winnipeg Jets from gaining momentum.

Scott Laughton struck twice in the first period. His first came early in regulation, skating to the net and firing a wrist shot to the back of the net. His second came midway through the first. Laughton skated the puck into the zone, tried to get a puck through traffic, and eventually it crossed the goal line to give the Flyers a 2-0 lead.
