Slap Shots: Flyers vs Ducks

The Philadelphia Flyers returned to the Wells Fargo Center looking to get back on track. Prior to the game, they placed signs on seats throughout the arena with the words “i fight for Oskar”, to show support for Oskar Lindblom, who is battling Ewing’s sarcoma.

Claude Giroux opened the scoring just 55 seconds into the second period, off a feed from Travis Konecny. Minutes later, David Kase notched his first NHL goal on a tip-in to put the Flyers up 2-0. After a Ducks goal, Jake Voracek bounced back with an answer of his own to give the Flyers a commanding 3-1 lead, while Sean Couturier iced the game with an empty net goal of his own to secure a 40-save win for Carter Hart and the Orange and Black.
