Slap Shots: Flyers vs Canadiens

The Philadelphia Flyers looked to continue their strong start at home with a battle against the Montreal Canadiens.

Phil Myers opened the scoring with a wrist shot from the point that found its way through traffic.

James van Riemsdyk added a quick one in the second period and the Flyers dominated the shot chart, but they couldn’t quite put the Canadiens away.

Six power plays and a penalty shot through three periods, but the Orange and Black couldn’t solve Carey Price. So the game would eventually head to overtime.

In overtime, Sean Couturier got a pass from Travis Konecny in the slot.
