Philadelphia Flyers Sign F Roman Lyubimov

Since Dave Hakstol has taken over as head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers, one thing Flyers fans have been saying a lot is the phrase “two-way forward.” Considering Hextall’s recent draft picks, Russian player is another common refrain. Add those two things together, and you gets today’s move.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced the signing of Roman Lyubimov to a 1-year, entry level contract. Lyubimov is a 24 years old forward with good size at 6’2″, 207 pounds. He hasn’t really lit up the scoreboard in the KHL, scoring 13 and 14 points in the last two seasons, respectively.
