A new season of hockey can mean a lot of things. Teams all over the world have the opportunity to turn the tides from last year or keep building on a successful campaign. They also get to see how new additions to their club will fair wearing different jersey colors, and for most goaltenders, it means getting a newly designed mask. Philadelphia Flyers prospect Samuel Ersson has already gotten a jump start on that regard with the beginning of the SHL regular season about a month away.
The 19-year-old goalie listed the help of known professional mask artist David Gunnarsson to make his new headgear and the two thought of quite the design.
