After months of waiting and speculating on what he could potentially receive in terms of contract length and money, the Philadelphia Flyers have done the thing. According to TSN’s Bob McKenzie, the Flyers have inked defenseman Ivan Provorov to a six-year deal. The contract will carry an Average Annual Value of 6.75 million dollars, per Elliotte Friedman, which is honestly pretty great for both sides. Provorov still gets a good amount of money while the Flyers keep him under seven million, which should help them come to an agreement with their final Restricted Free Agent in Travis Konecny.
