Philadelphia Flyers Reduce Training Camp Roster To 54 Players

Roster cuts are unavoidable during an NHL preseason, and the Philadelphia Flyers have made their second amount of roster reductions of the fall. After sending goaltender Roddy Ross back to the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL about a week ago, the Flyers have directed eight more players either back to juniors or released them from their Amatuer Try-Outs. Those prospects include defensemen Egor Zamula, Mason Millman, and Wyatte Wylie, forward Egor Serdyuk, and Josh Couturier, Mika Cyr, Sean Comrie, and Ben McCartney. The latter four were the only ATO’s at camp and while none of them were expected to make the Flyers roster, I thought at least one of them would make some noise.
