Philadelphia Flyers Opinion: Kimmo Timonen
Should we be happy for Kimmo Timonen? The short answer is kind of. I definitely am happy for a player that fought hard for seventeen years and finally got to hoist Lord Stanley’s cup; but seeing Timonen win the cup on another team felt like a kick in the groin. To me, it seemed very similar to Ray Bourque winning a cup with the Avalanche or Wade Boggs winning his only World Series with the Yankees.
It just seems like a raw deal that Kimmo won the cup somewhere else and now he wants to come back to Philadelphia in some capacity.
