Compared to what the good people of Philadelphia have come to expect from their hockey team, the Flyers were more than a little underwhelming last season. It wasn’t all bad, but the year will be remembered for the lack of secondary scoring, as well as the porous defense and the injuries suffered by key players.
It isn’t unrealistic to say that if these were not such big issues throughout the previous season, that the Flyers could have at least made the playoffs– granted that is much easier said than done. So with a new coach, several new players, and a new season on the horizon, a few players from the team will be looking to correct the major problems they dealt with last year in order to bring success back to Philadelphia.
