On this date in Flyers history: The Umberglar continues to put his voodoo on the Canadiens, Steve Mason gets left out to dry

Not all days in Flyers history are created equal, but if it weren’t for a forgetful second stint for this player, April 30th would be looked back on much fonder for everyone involved.

That player would be one R.J. Umberger, of course, and the date would be April 30 of 2008 where Umberger powered the Flyers to a game four win in their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Canadiens to grab a 3-1 stranglehold on heavily favored Montreal.

In that game four win in Philadelphia, Umberger scored goals five and six and racked up eight points in the five-game series win for the Flyers.
