Earlier this evening it was announced that the NHL and NHLPA had reached a tentative agreement on the league’s Return to Play plan, as well as a four-year extension of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
With that, they were also able to set dates for the resumption of play. They are as follows:
July 13th — Start of formal training camps in clubs’ cities
July 26th — Clubs travel to hub cities; Edmonton and Toronto
August 1st — Qualifying round begins
The formal training camps are limited to 30 skaters per team; there is no limit for goaltenders.
