MY SINCERE wish is for Ivan Provorov to blossom into a bona fide NHL star, so successful that he someday wins the trophy awarded by the NHL each season to its most valuable Russian player.
I like the Flyers' top pick, like his heady game and grit he displays for an 18-year-old. I like the poise with which he already conducts himself on and off the ice.
But that's not really why I want him to win the award.
