The Lehigh Valley Phantoms faced the Charlotte Checkers Saturday night at PPL Center in Allentown. The Phantoms picked up another win and closed out the preseason by scoring five goals. Nic Aube-Kubel opened the scoring to tie the game with Charlotte, Alex Krushelnyski fired back with two goals and almost one more before it was waved off for a high stick. Carsen Twarynski, Mike Vecchione and Greg Carey each scored during the second period. The Phantoms defeated the Checkers 5-3.
