Flyers to recall Joel Farabee after James van Riemsdyk suffers broken right hand

The Philadelphia Flyers picked up their seventh straight win on Wednesday night with a 5-2 victory against the Washington Capitals, but they lost one of their forwards in the process.

James van Riemsdyk suffered a broken right hand after blocking a shot in the first period:

Alain Vigneault confirmed the injury after the game, and also said that the team would recall forward Joel Farabee for Thursday night’s game.

There was no timetable given for van Riemsdyk’s return, which makes sense given that he had suffered the injury just a few hours prior.
