Flyers to faceoff against Penguins in exhibition game on July 28th

With the NHL’s return-to-play plan in place, only one piece of the puzzle remained – deciding and scheduling the exhibition games.

For the Flyers, they will be dropped into an intense matchup right away. No time to slowly get up to speed or rotate heavily in order to keep players fresh for the round-robin matchups – Philadelphia will face their arch-nemesis four days before they open their round-robin play.

The Flyers will face the Pittsburgh Penguins on July 28th at 4PM EST. Circle it in your calendars.

Sure, it’s a dress rehearsal for the cup run that the team will hope to embark on, but there’s nothing light about a grudge match against your most hated team.
