The team’s just announced that Michal Neuvirth has been placed on IR (back dated to October 30), and they’ve recalled Alex Lyon from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Did we see this one coming? It felt like a distinct possibility, after Neuvirth was sent back to Philly ahead of the team to be evaluated by the team’s doctors for an unspecified injury. It could have been nothing, but it sounded like it was bad news, and indeed it was.
