Aiming to earn their third straight win following a 3-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings in their last contest, the Philadelphia Flyers played host to the New Jersey Devils. On the other side of things, the Devils were hoping to snap a three-game losing streak and earn just their second win in the previous seven games. Brian Elliott received the nod in-net, opposing MacKenzie Blackwood on the other end of the ice.
The Flyers certainly could’ve had a better start to this contest, allowing the game’s first goal 13 seconds in to gift New Jersey with a 1-0 advantage.
