Flyers midseason grades: Players get high marks for strong start

The Philadelphia Flyers’ 2023-24 season officially reached its midway point Wednesday night following a 3-2 shootout victory over the Montreal Canadiens. The Flyers now have a 21-14-6 record through 41 games and are firmly in the race for a playoff spot, currently sitting in third place in the Metropolitan Division standings with 48 points.

Given where they finished last season — second to last in the Metro and 26th overall among the NHL’s 32 clubs — few were putting money down on the Flyers playing competitive hockey this year, let alone being on track to make the postseason.
