The Flyers came into Thursday night’s matchup looking for their eighth consecutive win. This was the second half of a back to back for the team. Their opponent, the Carolina Hurricanes, have been off since February 29th. The Hurricanes won the last game between the two while the Flyers won the previous two battles.
With Brian Elliott taking the game against the Washington Capitals, it would be Carter Hart in net for the Flyers while the Hurricanes went with Alex Nedeljkovic.
It was a rather sluggish first period for the most part.
