Flyers give Samuel Morin three year extension

Amidst all of the draft news and welcoming the two newest Flyers, Joel Farabee and Jay O'Brien, to the team, Ron Hextall re-signed a familiar face. Samuel Morin, who will be out most likely until February 2019 with a torn ACL, received a three year extension from the club yesterday as reported by Stephen Whyno. The extension is worth $2.1 million over the three years.

In terms of cap hit alone, this is a great deal for the Flyers. If Morin turns out to be an instant contributor when he projects to join the team in February or March at the latest, and he continues to produce, it’s a steal of a contract.
