Before chowing down on some turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and whatever else you might find at a Thanksgiving table, the Philadelphia Flyers faced off against the Columbus Blue Jackets for the second time in 2019-20. The Flyers hoped to put a stranglehold on the season-series with their Metropolitan Division foe, as they took the first contest with a 7-4 victory on October 26th. Brian Elliott got the nod from Head Coach Alain Vigneault, opposing Joonas Korpisalo for Columbus. Elliott was aiming to earn his sixth win of the season and post another solid performance, as he allowed no more than three goals in four of his last five games played coming into tonight.
