Flyers Defense Must Bounce Back Against Pittsburgh Penguins

After failing to extend their winning streak to four in a 5-3 loss to the New York Islanders, the Philadelphia Flyers will now hope to avoid their second losing skid of the season as they take on a hated rival in the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins are coming off of a 3-0 shutout victory over the Dallas Stars in their last contest, breaking a three-game cold streak in the process. This will be the first of four meetings between the two Pennsylvanian squads and will be their only meeting of 2019, as they won’t play again until January of 2020 in Philadelphia.
