It was a middling week for the Flyers, going 1-1-1 through three games–though truthfully, perhaps it could’ve been 2-1-0 had a certain play not been called offsides. Alas, the record is the record, and we’ll start with the bad news: the Flyers have fallen out of a wildcard spot, with the two New York teams ahead of them. The good news is that the Eastern Conference is still in such a state of flux that, by the end of next week, the could stumble right back into a playoff spot. That’s important with American Thanksgiving fast approaching, as nearly 80 percent of teams in a playoff spot on Turkey Day end up in the postseason.
