Couturier coming into his own for Flyers

The Flyers' surge can be described in two words: secondary scoring.

They have three straight wins, during which they have scored a total of 12 goals. Eleven of the goals were scored by players not on the top line, including four by their defensemen.

All four lines have scored during the winning streak. None has been better than the Michael Raffl-Sean Couturier-Brayden Schenn unit, which has combined for five goals and eight assists in those three games.

Fact is, Couturier has been the Flyers' top all-around player in the last three-plus weeks, collecting 12 points in his last 10 games.
