This is probably the least controversial move the Flyers could have made this offseason, or at least the one people will have the fewest opinions on (lol). After deliberating between Cam Talbot and Brian Elliott as potential backups to Carter Hart, the Flyers ultimately decided to sign Elliott to an extremely boring, rational term. Sometimes it’s strange when the Flyers do something normal. It feels unnatural to have genuinely no reaction to this.
Coming off a season riddled with injury, Elliott has been signed for just one year, for a whopping total of $2 million.
