Alain Vigneault finishes in second place for the Jack Adams Award

The Philadelphia Flyers were eliminated from the playoffs over the weekend, but there was some hope that they’d win something this week. The NHL is naming award winners throughout the week, and that continued on Wednesday with the Jack Adams Award.

Back in July, Alain Vigneault was named as a finalist for the award along with Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy and Columbus Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella.

Cassidy barely beat out Vigneault with five more first-place votes and six more second-place votes, with a decent gap between Vigneault and Tortorella for third place.
