2023 Draft Profile: Leo Carlsson Would Look Great in the Flyers Orange and Black

After Canada and the United States, Sweden is the nation that the Flyers have picked the most in the NHL Draft. Thirty-five players have been drafted by Philadelphia over the years. The last one was Swedish defender Emil Andrae in the second round in 2020. The only first rounder selected by Philly was Peter Forsberg in 1991.

Leo Carlsson is widely considered to be the best international prospect in this year’s draft. Connor Bedard is widely believed to be the top pick this year. Many hockey analysts have Adam Fantilli as the consensus next pick and will be drafted by Anaheim.
