Head coach Doug Pederson addressed the media on Wednesday morning and revealed that wide receiver Jordan Matthews suffered back spasms on Tuesday and will be held out of practice. Matthews, the Eagles’ leading receiver, is still expected to play on Sunday in Seattle.
Meanwhile, left guard Allen Barbre (hamstring) returns to practice this week for the first time since sustaining a Week 8 hamstring injury against Dallas. Pederson said that Barbre will be inserted back into the starting lineup to face his former team.
Cornerback Nolan Carroll remains in the NFL concussion protocol after sustaining the injury during Sunday’s game against the Falcons.
