Last week, Eagles’ tight end Zach Ertz was quick to defend his (badass) wife Julie and her USWNT teammates from the narrative that they ran up the score and celebrated too much during their first World Cup win over Thailand.
On Tuesday, CBS News tweeted about Ertz making his way to France to support Julie, but failed to include her name and made the news moreso about him than the incredibly talented woman actually competing on the World’s stage.
It didn’t take long for the Philadelphia Eagles’ social media team to clap back, featuring none other than “Julie Ertz’s husband”, and the USWNT’s account appreciating the support.
