Updates on Dallas Goedert and Alshon Jeffery ahead of Eagles vs. Lions

NFL insider Adam Schefter has some bad news and some good news for Philadelphia Eagles fans.

The bad news is that starting wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is “unlikely” to play in the Eagles’ Week 3 game against the Detroit Lions. This is expected since Jeffery didn’t participate in practice this week. The Eagles promoting Greg Ward from the practice squad also signaled a Jeffery absence. With both Jeffery and DeSean Jackson out, the Eagles will be down to the following four healthy receivers: Nelson Agholor, Mack Hollins, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, and Ward.
