Saquon Barkley challenges public perception's importance on stats with Eagles

Before the season began, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley had his sights set on being the first running back in NFL history to run for over 2,000 yards in a season, more than once in a career. That feels like a faded memory now.

The 2025 season has Barkley trailing a bit on reaching that goal, as he has currently rushed for 369 yards and three touchdowns in seven games. For him to get to that 2,000-yard mark, he would have to average 163.1 yards per game. With the Eagles currently averaging 88.1 rushing yards per game this season, it seems like that dream can only be achieved in the game he's on the cover for, Madden 26.
