On the day where the roster has to be trimmed down to 53 players, the Eagles made a blockbuster trade, sending quarterback Sam Bradford to the Minnesota Vikings. In exchange, the Eagles received a first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and a fourth-round pick in 2018 NFL Draft.

Minnesota had been in the market for a starting quarterback since last week when starter Teddy Bridgewater was lost for the season with a devastating knee injury.
