Report: “Real chance” Drew Lock starts in place of Geno Smith for Eagles vs. Seahawks

There is a “real chance” that Seahawks backup quarterback Drew Lock will start in place of an injured Geno Smith, according to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Smith, who missed Week 14 due to a groin issue, was officially ruled questionable on Seattle’s final injury report. He was a limited participant in practice all week. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll indicated Smith will be a game-time decision.

Starting in relief of Smith in a loss to the San Francisco 49ers last week, Lock completed 71% of his attempts for 269 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and a 92.
