DeVonta Smith “will get some plays tonight” if “all goes expected” leading up to the Philadelphia Eagles’ preseason game against the New England Patriots, according to a report from NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark.
I’m guessing the qualifier exists in case Smith either doesn’t feel great or experiences a setback in pregame warmups. Barring those events, it sounds like we’re on track to see the Eagles’ first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft make his Lincoln Financial Field debut.
Pretty exciting stuff! Smith is arguably the biggest reason to be excited about this year’s team.
