Report: Browns want their GM candidate back & request interview with Eagles exec

The Eagles may, just may, have escaped the reality of losing Jim Schwartz to Cleveland, but that doesn’t mean the Browns have stopped fishing.

According to Adam Schefter, Cleveland have requested an interview with Eagles exec Andrew Berry for their GM vacancy.

Berry currently serves as the Eagles ‘Vice President of Football Operations’ and was hired back in February of last year. His role remained untouched when Joe Douglas left for the Jets, but the 30-year old GM candidate finds himself with an interesting road ahead.

Berry is more than familiar with the Browns. He played a huge role in transforming them from a zero-win team in 2017, back into one of the league’s sleeping giants, amassing seven victories one year later and surprising everyone.
