Running back Jamaal Charles was released by the Kansas City Chiefs Tuesday, who recorded 7,260 rushing yards as well as 2,457 receiving yards for a total of 63 touchdowns over nine seasons with the team.
Now a free agent, Charles needs to find a new home and the Philadelphia Eagles could be a potential suitor. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is familiar with Charles from his three years as Kansas City’s offensive coordinator. Under Pederson, Charles ran for 2,684 rushing yards and 1,161 receiving yards for 33 total scores in three seasons (Charles missed 11 games in the 2015 season, making these numbers even more impressive).
