Each and every Philadelphia Eagles game carries value, but some games simply matter more. Few games on the schedule every year rival games with playoff implications or a contest between two rivals. Seemingly, once a week, NFL fans are treated to games where a lot is on the line.
Last year, the rival Dallas Cowboys were visiting Philadelphia in a Week 16 showdown at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles were able to pull out a 17-9 win, but this game was more than just the Eagles’ eighth victory of the season. It essentially gave the Eagles the inroad to the playoffs while simultaneously knocking the Cowboys out of playoff contention.
